Made for lovers of the W186!

1997 was going to be a good year for lovers of the W186: Mercedes-Benz chose to feature this model in their 'Oldtimer' calendar for that year. The calendar featured twelve contrasting views of a red 300 and a black 300 Cabriolet D posing in cobbled German streets (a 190SL also creeps into one view, as does a superb basket-work pram!).

The quality of the photography achieved by Markus Bolsinger is both technically and pictorially superb as one might expect: the atmosphere captured is certainly contemporary with the vehicles themselves. The 'thumbnails' below do not do justice to the quality of the work; I would recommend any W186 enthusiast to secure a copy. I managed to secure two copies, and additional one for my father, but I wanted a third for dismembering and framing of the prints. On approaching MB UK they gave me the MB part number for the calendar along with a quotation for £40! Needless to say I settled for just the two copies.
